That's why the eCompendium  wants you to know how we protect the privacy of your students, parents and district personnel, and the measures we take to safeguard that information. We have built our business on a foundation of integrity, honesty, and trust. These values are reflected in our longstanding commitment to protect the privacy of the community you serve.  

While you are using any one of the eCompendium engines, we secure your session using the latest in encryption algorhythms. The integrity of your data is protected completely from outside influence and is protected by continuous backups.  

Once you obtain a password to access your engine(s) your actions are recorded in our logs. The time the word is used, how long the session lasts and what was done.  

Passwords are issued at various levels and each password is limited to certain actions as determined by the administration. The administrators password is open and allows editing, file changing and deletion. It is the most trusted password and has the power to damage the data, destroy the database or do other dangerous actions. It is of course the necessary password to maintain the database. It should only be issued to the most trusted administrators.

  The following policies and procedures protect the privacy of your information: Categories of Information We May Collect   In the normal course of business we may collect the following types of information:  

* Information you provide on applications and other forms (including agency name, names of administrators and other workers, address and phone numbers).

* Information gathered on our Web sites through online forms and site visit data collected through the use of information-collecting devices.

Access to information gathered by your use of our engines  is limited to personnel who need the information to perform their job responsibilities. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that meet or exceed state and federal regulations. We continually update and improve our security standards, procedures, and technology to protect against unauthorized access to your confidential information.  

How We Use Your Information  
We may share your personal information with non-affiliated companies as described below.  

* We may share information with non-affiliated companies as allowed by law, such as firms that perform services on our behalf including administering and marketing our products. We require these companies to meet strict privacy standards.  

* We may disclose information to non-affiliated entities when required by law, such as to respond to a subpoena, to prevent fraud, or to comply with an inquiry by a governmental agency. We will follow the privacy law in your state if that law is different than the policy described in this notice.
